As an office manager, you are reviewing the budget every month to determine what your 

costs are. When reviewing the budget, you see that your payroll is over-budget the last two 

months. The volume of patients is not higher than anticipated so you cannot say it is due to 

increased patient visits. Your physician states that you must make changes to bring this 

number down, without affecting the efficiency of the office.
