The focus of this course is managerial accounting which differs from financial accounting.  Understanding the differences will give you a better understanding of the relevance of the material you will be learning.  Discuss the following:

• Who are the users of financial and managerial accounting?   
• What constraints are there within financial and managerial accounting reporting? 
• When financial and managerial accounting reports are completed, what is the focus of the information? 
• How timely is the information that is compiled with financial and managerial accounting?
