Unit 2: Module 2 – Website anthropology Essays

Describe the life and work of Jane Goodall in an essay.  Be sure in the essay to describe her work, her method of study, and to include her contribution to the field of cultural anthropology.  You can obtain this information from the following websites. Jane Goodall  Goodall

The Website Essays are worth 25 points each. I expect you to be detailed on the Website Essays, but they are not a timed exercise.  In this way you can go back and forth to the website and then refer to the text as well.  Your Website Essay should be written and then submitted to the Dropbox.  Your essay should be at least 2 pages in length and include important anthropology details.

The essay is due according to the Module 2 due dates. You may use your notes, text, website and your word processing program.  You may submit your essay more than once, unlike the Essay Discussion Questions.  

Website Discussion Essays

25 point Paper Content/Explanation Explanation – Has the student sufficiently explained their ideas?  Does the essay contain pertinent dates, details and specifics?
Good explanation – all questions answered and statements explained, also dates, details and specifics are included = full credit 
Good/fair explanation – student answers most questions and explains most statements/ideas but leaves some unexplained, = -3 points 
Fair/good – student answers some questions but leaves others unanswered and explains some statements/ideas, but leaves most unexplained, specifics details are minimal = -6 points Bad – student answers maybe one of the questions, gives basic ideas and does not explain the ideas, no dates or details included = -10 points

Grammar 1-2 errors = -1 point 3-5 errors = -3 points 5+ errors = -5 points 
Proper APA citation on a separate, “References” page required if none? = -3 points 
Proper in-text citation if none? = -3 points 
Any plagiarism? Late submission = 10% deduction/day
