2. Write a reflective journal on what have been observed in the water treatment plant and what functions do each unit operation have in water treatment;
3. Obtain the relevant data of the sedimentation tank, and estimate the smallest particle size that would be captured by the sedimentation tank;
4. Research on new trends in water treatment.

Criteria & Marking:
The purpose of this item is to examine student’s critical evaluation and understanding of the processes and environmental issues associated with the water treatment plant. The report also provides an opportunity to evaluate a student's written communication skills through the preparation of a suitable report. The report should be about 1000 words in length and must have a suitable format including at least title page, contents page, introduction, some appropriate headings, conclusions and references. Students should endeavour to use a few references to correlate the plant with what is available in the literature.
The marking criteria are weighted 75% on content; 15% on research effort, and 10% on presentation.
