Freshwater sustainability is one of the most pressing issues of our time. Present what you believe to be the leading cause of freshwater scarcity worldwide, other issues caused by lack of freshwater, and the most convincing solution to sustaining freshwater resources. Your essay should make use of at least three sources (articles or policy documents) from the course. These include the 1992 Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, Agenda 21, “State of the World’s Freshwater Ecosystem,” “The Water Footprint of Humanity,” “The World’s Forgotten Crisis,” and “Water Security." The paper should be organized into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and should be 3-4 double-spaced pages, 12 point Times New Roman font, and one inch margins. You should cite all quotations using either footnotes or in paragraph citations and should have a works cited page at the end of your paper.
