Use SAS to answer the question
Regression Technique and Seasonality
The EXCEL File book21.xlsx has quarterly data on U.S. young chicken (broilers) production for 1980 – 2004 period. Using data for 1980 – 2004 period answer the following questions:
1a) Fit a regression line to capture trend and seasonality in U.S. broiler production. Report, comment and interpret your estimated equation. Comment on the size and significance of estimated parameters.
1b) Based the results, do you believe that U.S. broiler production exhibits seasonality (Do hypothesis testing to answer this question) ?
Hint: In addition to trend, you need to use quarterly dummy variables in your regression equation.
