In this course we have studied BGP and MPLS. Extensions to BGP which can be used to provide VPN services by service providers to large scale enterprises should be investigated as part of your assignment.
Grading will be done as follows:
Demonstrate understanding of extensions to BGP defined for MP-BGP (10%)
Demonstrate understanding of VRFs in terms of attachment circuits and IP packet association (20%)
Demonstrate understanding of Route Target and Route Distinguisher Concepts in the context of VPN route Distribution using BGP (20%)
Use of real world examples to demonstrate understanding (e.g Site to Site VPN and/or Internet Access) (20%)
Appropriate use of schematics (20%)
