Conduct an Internet search for software companies that offer computerized medical record systems. Take a look around the websites of two or three different companies to learn more about the systems that they offer. You may be able to find company websites that offer a demonstration or at least that show some of the screens available.

Optional: Contact a health care organization in your area that currently uses a computerized medical record system. Arrange to see a demonstration of how it is used or interview people who work directly with the system.

What is your opinion of computerized medical record systems? Do you think these systems are a useful way of documenting medical records? What advantages do you see? What disadvantages do you see?
