For a country the size of Canada and being a trading nation, there are several pressing issues. The one that comes to mind first would have to be globalization. To stay in the forefront of this for every changing world Canada has to be a forward thinker. The some fo the benifits for the country are job creation, economic growth and wealth of consumer products, that say, even 10 years ago where not available to us.

Another issue that would top my list would be the current environmental concerns facing our beautiful country. Everything from our water supply and its sustainability to how oil is extracted, processed and transported. All these things affect each and every Canadian in some way or another.

In my opinion, I think the pressing issue facing Canada in the early 21st century are recourse and environment issues. With the more and more immigration move to the Canada, the reserve per capita is less than before. More and more new residential buildings are being to sell. Canada is well known for its nature and good environment, people live in Canada are more close to the nature. For example, city Vancouver. Sometimes you even cannot find a place to park near the Costco because of too much cars.

It is benefit for the city to hold various cultures and different people all over the world, but it still a big challenge for the country to balance the recourse and environment for the quality of citizens' life.
