Urban Scene

In class we discussed two major trends that have affected urban areas over the past few decades:

1. globalization, which has made cities (and residents) more interdependent and connected

2. striving for sustainability, which seeks to make cities less wasteful, less reliant on limited natural resources, and more self-sufficient

Choose one of these trends and use examples from your personal experience to discuss how they have affected an urban area that you are familiar with.

Your response should be between 300 and 500 words. Feel free to write your response in a word processing program and then cut and paste it into Moodle.
