Do a little research to find the typical cost of different types of cables. How do the prices compare for different types of media? For example, faster media are more expensive. Is the difference in cost worth the increased speed? What circumstances might justify the additional cost?

The appearance of technologies like cable modems and DSL has brought full-time Internet access to the home user. Discuss some of the ways in which this has affected the lives of families or in ways it could potentially affect their lives. Consider both positive and negative aspects.
