Unit 3.2 DB: Food availability

In 2013, the United States was the leading philanthropist providing international relief to the rest of the world.  While we spend money to help feed and clothe other nation’s citizens, many Americans still remain hungry.  How has the setting in the United States changed for food, jobs and housing?  Read the following National Geographic article and discuss the ability of Americans to obtain healthy food in the United States compared to the other necessities.  How should governmental and non-governmental agencies in the United States help?
