1) In North America, a number of indigenous communities are shifting from fossil fuels to alternative energy sources such as wind and solar power. However, these strategies rely heavily on technology and financing. What is the United Nations doing to support these communities in regard to financing and technology penetration?
2) The creation of awareness about climate change is invaluable in dealing with the problems affecting the global environment. Among the areas that should be addressed include land-use planning, disaster preparedness, environmental conservation methods, and sustainable development. What is the role of the United Nations in strengthening awareness on climate change among indigenous people?
