Thesis and outline for chemistry paper

Final Paper:            A final paper will be written on a topic in chemistry. The topic should be something current in chemistry, subject to my approval.

1. Clearly define the thesis, the one statement that describes the scope and focus of the paper. Is the topic a specific chemical or a class of chemicals? Is the chemical concept proven, suspected or controversial?

2. After the initial literature search and preliminary review of the literature, construct an outline of the paper. The outline may be a formal one or similar devise to indicate the paper's subheadings and what will be covered therein.
