                            Complete a research paper between 1200 and 1700 words, not counting the title page and reference page. The paper is not intended to be a regurgitation of material researched, rather an opportunity to demonstrate critical thinking skills in the analysis of the selected theory and the relationship to the criminal justice system and the development of criminal laws.  Provide a brief background on the author(s) of the theory, the timeframe in which the theory was developed and a short overview of the theory as well as any reaction identified by other scholars at the time.  Present a critical analysis of the theory’s application to a specific criminal law they feel could have been developed as a result of the theory.   Be sure to use scholarly research.
