DescriptionResearch paper Choose a topic for your choice - something that interests you, something that you care to write about - and write a five to six pages long, typed and double spaced, well researched, MLA style formatted and documented, informative paper. You are required to use at-least five sources: All your sources should strictly come from the University database only. This essay will be due on Wednesday 11/9 before 12 noon The paper will be given an “F,” if the paper has no thesis statement, or if the paper shows no research. Make sure you use in-text citations (attributive tags, & parenthetical citations) in you papers and give credit to your sources. (For more details read the “MLA Documentation” lecture posted on Blackboard). All your sources should be reliable. You are required to use at-least five different sources; all your sources should strictly come from the University database only. If you fail to meet with these requirements, again, the paper will be given an “F” for a grade. A detailed works cited list should accompany the paper 10 points will be taken off, if your paper does not have a works cited page. 10 points will be taken off if the paper is not in the MLA format. Avoid using first and second person speech; write the paper in third person. Do not address your audience as you. Also be prepared for class presentations that will start on 11/14 and close on 11/22. Details for the power point presentation will be provided during the week of presentations. Late work will be collected with a penalty of 5 points per day. Assignments not turned in on time will not receive any feedback. Turn in your assignments as Microsoft Word or rtf documents only. Any assignment that I cannot open will be given a zero for not following instructions. If you do not have Word on your computer, use the computers on campus. The assignment submission box will close on the due date. All late assignments should be emailed through blackboard.
