Is the US Tax System fair?

Are taxes enough to pay the Government expenses?

If the system has to be changed, which proposal is better? The President has indicated several times that taxes should be reduced, is that proposal possible?

Are the Americans paying more or less taxes that the population of other developed countries? Can you give some examples?
