Supply Chain Organization Models

In the unit readings, you examined the stages organizations pass through as their supply chains evolve. For this discussion:

• Review Figures 3.1 through 3.8 on pages 93–112 in your textbook, Strategic Supply Chain Management.
• Use the figures to compare your current or past employer's present, past, and potential future organizational structures:
  • Which figure is the closest representation of your organization's current model? Why?
  • Which figure is the closest representation of your organization's past model? Why?
  • Which figure could represent your organization's future model? What would it take to get there?
• Include a brief explanation of your organization to help provide context for your analysis.
