I really didn’t know much about graphic design or the designers that part take in this career, when I decided that as my career plan. I just knew I was great at drawing and I really didn’t want to become a starving artist. My inspiration for drawing had to be Vincent Willem Van Gogh. Vincent Van Gogh was born on March 30, 1953 in Groot-Zundert, Netherlands. Throughout his life he struggled with mental illness, and was poor throughout his entire life, He died in France on July 29 1890 at the age of 37 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Even with all his issues through life he has highly influenced the 20^th century art. He is responsible for such painting like The Starry Night, Irises, The Potato Eaters, and the Bedroom in Arles.

As far as graphic design I really don’t know anyone who really has inspired me in that category but as far as art the one who really inspired me was Vincent Willem Van Gogh. He has inspired me with his style of art. I really like the way that you can tell a Vincent Van Gogh painting. His style was unique as well of his own. I think that he used his paintings as a way to escape the reality that he was living in, I find myself using art as a way to get away from the little madness that I am going through within my life. Van Gogh’s art had so much inspiration and just toughed so many people, I really just want that same feeling with my art. I would prefer that feeling before I die but who knows.

Vincent Van Gogh really didn’t inspire me in my degree plan, he just inspired me to draw. Most of my inspiration is from my family constantly pushing me to continue my education. I think I am my own motivation I feel like no one of God’s green earth owes me anything. If I want something in life I have to go out and get it myself, and with a no fail attitude I can do no wrong.
