In school, my teacher made the class do a project on current events which was do once a month. You picked an event out in either a magazine or a newspaper and you answered who, what, where, when, why, and how. One of the skills this project taught me was to have more self-direction and to be able to critically think about the event and to go over the problem if one to solve it or discuss if it has a solution.
