The Strategic Planning Process

The strategic planning process is essential for any non-profit or government organization, as it helps organizations achieve their missions and goals. This process includes various elements such as stakeholders, sustainable outcomes, resources, and community connections, with each element fulfilling a particular role in the planning process. For this Discussion, you examine strategic planning and consider the most important element of the process.

Post an explanation of the most important element of the strategic planning process (e.g., stakeholders, sustainable outcomes, resources, community connections, etc.). Include how this element of planning helps public and non-profit organizations achieve optimal results. Then, explain how this element of planning relates to your own professional experiences.

                                                         Discussion Rubric

The purpose of the rubric is to provide guidance on writing and scoring initial postings and responses for Discussions.

There are four traits on which all posts and responses are evaluated: Responsiveness to Discussion Question, Content

Knowledge, Quality of Writing, and Contribution to the Discussion. The initial posting and the response will be assessed

separately using this rubric as a guide. At a minimum, the Instructor will provide feedback on traits receiving lower than

the maximum score. Students will want to consult the rubric before submitting a post or response to assure meeting the

post/response criteria for proficient (B) or exemplary (A) work. There are a maximum of 40 points for each Discussion.

A (Exemplary) = 40–36 points

B (Proficient) = 35–32 points

C (Progressing) = 31–28 points

D* (Emerging) = 27–24 points

F (Failing) = 23 or fewer points
