The formal strategic planning process has five main steps.  We are going to analyze at the first step involving corporate mission, vision, values and goals in the context of the company, Walmart. 

1.  Discuss the mission, vision, values, and goals of Walmart.  Relate and connect this to the case reading, chapter 1,  frontline video and corporate website for Walmart.  The corporate website is located athttp://walmartstores.com/

2.  Do you think vision, mission, goals, or even values take the lead role at Walmart?  Why?

3.  The Frontline video asks the question, is Walmart is good for America?  What is your answer and why?   Be prepared for feedback from others on your views.
