EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENT

Plan a complete trip (7-10 days) to a city/country outside of

North America and on a continent other than your heritage 

(YOU MUST EMAIL ME AND I WILL ASSIGN THE COUNTRY)

What to include:

· COVER PAGE! (With Name, Country, and class/section number)

•   Table of Contents (so I know where to find everything)

•   Complete flight and hotel information

    (use sites like “Travelocity”, “Expedia”, etc.)

•   Descriptions of at least 7 mainstream sites/activities & 1 non-mainstream site/activity (this should be part of the daily journals)

•   Descriptions of public transportation used, food eaten, and souvenirs purchased (may also be in your journals)

•   Pictures of each site/activity, transportation, food, souvenirs, and people

     (minimum of 12 food images total)

•   Overhead images of each site /activity visited using “googleearth.com” (Without these, your score is lowered by 40%)

•   Detailed journal entries describing each days’ events

-Must be at least 1 FULL typed page per day - double-spaced/Times New Roman font/size 12 font/regular margins.

-Each Daily Journal must start on a NEW PAGE…not a running log.

-NO IMAGES should share a page with journals

-TRAVEL DAYS DO NOT COUNT!  Day 1 starts when you WAKE UP in your hotel, & Last Day ends when you GO TO SLEEP in your hotel 

-ALL WRITTEN CONTENT SHOULD BE IN YOUR JOURNALS

Be creative yet informative

· Include a "works cited" page at the end for all images used

A hard copy must be turned in on due date...preferably in a low-profile folder.  3-ring binders or loose sheets just stuck into a folder WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
