The Final Paper should demonstrate understanding of the reading assignments as well as the implications of new knowledge. The eight to ten page paper should integrate scholarly research, readings and class discussions into work and life experience. It should include explanation and examples from previous experience which are reported in the scholarly literature to synthesize service development.
The purpose of the Final Paper is for you to culminate the learning achieved in the course by describing your understanding and application of knowledge in management in services organizations.
For the Final Paper you will chose a well established services organization and research the services that are offered by the organization. You will then design a new services offering for the organization. At a minimum the proposed service design should: 

• Address all the elements in the service concept
• Include information on the target market
• Identify the competitive strategy
• Include a financial analysis of the economic viability of the service

Focus of the Final Paper
During this course, you have studied the principles of management in the “intangible industries” organization. You have engaged in discussion and learning about the services industry and the services organizations within that industry as well as service operations and models for service management. The focus of the Final Paper requires that you synthesize your learning in the context of the course outcomes.
Writing the Final Paper
The Final Paper:

• Must be eight to ten double-spaced pages (excluding title and reference pages) in length and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the approved APA style guide.
• Must include a cover page that includes:
  - Title of assignment
  - Student's name
  - Course name and number
  - Instructor's name
  - Date submitted
• Must address the questions with critical thought and complete sentences.
• Must include an introductory paragraph with a succinct thesis statement.
• Must conclude with a restatement of the thesis and a conclusion paragraph.
• Must use at least four scholarly resources.
• Must include, on the final page, a Reference Page that is completed according to APA style as outlined in the approved APA style guide.
