Module 6 – Discussion Board Questions

Compare and contrast the style of two speakers. Indicate who the speakers were and what type of speeches they presented (i.e. extemporaneous, impromptu, manuscript, memorized). Give some background on the speech, such as noting the purpose, audience, and topic of the presentations. What techniques did each speaker use (i.e. use of rhythm, vivid words, repetition) to make his or her presentation more effective? How where the techniques used the same or different for the speeches? After reading the chapters for this week along with reviewing these two speeches, what kind of techniques will you aim to use in your own presentations?
