Sonnet Assignment

1.Type the poem marking the following formal feature:
-The rhyme scheme - mark the rhymes and name the rhyme scheme
-Skip a line between stanzas
-The meter - separate feet with a /
-Mark accented/stressed syllables in CAPS
-Mark unstressed syllables in lower case
-Mark the volta or turning point in the poem

2. Write a 4 page interpretation of the poem
-Focus on language
-At least one paragraph must be about the meter
-The goal is to produce a smart close reading of the poem
