Consider a social issue in which you are interested. It could be sexuality, deviance, crime, social mobility, poverty, education, aging, and similar issues. Select a specific social issue to investigate in this assignment. In this assignment, you will begin your exploration by developing a thesis statement. 

just write a hypothesis statement that is one to two (1-2) sentences long in which you develop a thesis statement appropriate to this exercise which meets all of the following criteria:

 

·         Delineates a topic that is narrow enough to be addressed thoroughly in a paper of 3-5 pages, but not so narrow as to unduly hamper your research.

 

Part 2: Make an outline:

For example, here is a generic example of what the headings of your possible outline might look like:

  1. Conclusion(s):  All available evidence refutes the hypothesis, but there are alternative explanations.
