Sociology

As you will learn throughout the term, Sociology is the study of society. This term will explore a variety of concepts that will challenge your thinking. You will have an opportunity to design your ideal society, over the course of the term. While your ideal society may have some similarities to the real world, it is expected that you will reach beyond the familiar. In this first assignment you are to do the following:

 1. Give your ideal society a name

 2. Provide a rationale for the name you have chosen

3. Describe the location (climate, geography, etc.)

4. Discuss the sociological paradigm/theory which is the basis for your society and why. This assignment should be in APA format and include references and citations as warranted and should be no less than 1 1/2 - 2 pages
