The media does have a very significant role in how U.S. citizens are exposed to political actors, policies, and processes that comprise American government.

Assignment Guidelines

• Select 2 particular media forum types from the following list:
  • Newspapers
  • Radio
  • Television
  • Internet

• Provide 2-3 specific examples of information on government corruption that you have received from your chosen media types.
• Discuss the nature of the alleged corruption
• Where it took place
• The level of government involved – local, state or federal
• What the person or persons were alleged to have done
• How the alleged corruption was discovered and/or reported
• Whether the matter has resulted in any action taken against the person or persons.
