Social Psychology Discussion

Please share and discuss an example of groupthink that you've personally encountered either at your job or in another group setting (e.g., church, sunday school, family gatherings, etc...).  Answer the following questions to guide your discussion:

1) What was your example?  Group?  Surroundings/environment?  Demographics?

2) How would you describe the general dynamics of the group in which you encountered groupthink?

3) Can you label the group members in terms of:  1) the monopolizer; 2) the quiet one; 3) the leader; etc....?

4) What circumstances do you feel would have changed the groupthink outcome?  In other words, what might have prevented the groupthink from occurring?
