Soc Response Paper

For this response paper, I’d like you to first play the poverty simulation “Spent” – found athttp://playspent.org.  Play the simulation to the best of your ability while considering what you feel you would do in the circumstances described. 

After playing through the simulation a few times, I’d like you to reflect on the experience and how successful/unsuccessful you were.  Was there anything that surprised you?   What was your strategy? 

Also, please respond to the following questions.  What does this simulation suggest about social mobility in the United States? Make sure to explain the difference between horizontal social mobility and vertical social mobility.  What does it suggest about our standards of equality in the United States?
