So far we have discussed different reading strategies and annotation as well as how to summarize or paraphrase.
Steps to complete this exercise:
- Pick one of the narratives assigned so far.
- Re-read the narrative using the reading and annotation strategies we discussed in class. Even if you already have a lot of notes, it is still a good idea to re-read the narrative before writing about it.
- Using the summarizing techniques we discussed in class, you will be writing your own summary of the narrative you chose.
- The exercise must be a maximum of 250 words or 1 page. Summaries are usually brief and this will help you stick to the main points.
- You must have a unique title to your summary. Do not title it Summary or the title of what you are summarizing.
- Your page should be in MLA format with the proper headings, margins, etc.
- Post your exercise to your Weebly Progression 1 page by 2 pm on September 2nd. We will be discussing how to upload assignments.
