Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), is a great way organize all requirements for a project. As the textbook mentions, it can be done in one of two approaches: phase or product. Let’s imagine that we are contracted to create an online application for a bookstore. We will need everything that is involved in the ordering of books online – search page through shopping cart, a database to store orders, etc.

• Choose and define an item that belongs on our WBS along with any dependencies that are needed.
