Short -term returns

Whether it’s the stock markets or capital project decisions in your organizations, is there too much emphasis placed on short-term returns?

 The question is referenced byt the institutional investors and organizations such as the California Public Employees Retirement Fund otherwise known as CalPERS. Within their strategy, CalPERS has set the bar at an overall annual investment return of 7.5%. To achieve this on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis, the fund managers need to chase those short term returns.
