Short paper 4-1

Select a business process you are familiar with. Perform a simplified process assessment, and document your results in a short paper. Thoroughly address each item below:

1. Provide a brief overview of the business process.
2. Identify positive aspects of the process.
3. Identify issues associated with the process.
4. Identify which ITIL Process Maturity Framework (PMF) (figure 5.1, p. 58) level this process meets.
5. Identify three to five process improvements needed to meet the next level of the PMF identified in step 4.
6. Explain how each identified process improvement in step 5 will mature the process.
