Definition, This assignment is based loosely off  description and create a definitional essay.500-1,000 words 

• Students will begin the essay with a commonly-held definition. This may be a pop culture idea, concept common to a specific, large population, or simply a dictionary definition.
• Through the use of examples, data, and a variety of sources (recommended 2-4) students are to expand upon this definition to either illuminate a new meaning or alter the perception of the one given.
• This essay must arrive at an expository thesis, either implied or overtly stated. Simply discussing the definition is not enough. Have a purpose for the writing.
