The Poetry Essay is due December 12 at midnight! Students will write an essay about one of the following poets and their poems: Emily Dickinson, Langston Hughes, or  William Shakespeare.   In this essay, students should incorporate insights gathered through their reading and analyze some of the poet's work. The thesis should concern the theme of the poet that will be discussed in the essay and must include at least three poems by the poet in the analysis. Students must have their references documented using MLA format and  must include a Works Cited page. The essay needs to be approximately three pages in length. (15%)
