The war on drugs has not been considered successful.  Some believe there has been little impact.  Both sides have continuously found new ways to win battles.  The whole issue of drug dog searches on vehicles has evolved over the past decade.  As it stands, a positive alert from a certified police drug dog is enough probable cause for the police to search the passenger compartment of a vehicle.  There have been numerous challenges to the constitutionality of this practice.  Read the case below and answer the following questions.
