Job analysis is a method for describing jobs and the human attributes necessary to perform jobs. Two approaches include job- oriented and person-oriented. Job oriented- approach focuses on the task and provides information on the nature of the tasks done on the job. One-way top to conduct this type of job analysis is to describe the tasks performed or provide information about characteristics of the tasks. Person-oriented approach focuses on worker characteristics. It provides a description of the attributes and characteristics necessary for a person to perform a job successfully.
