Self-Assessment and Reflection

Select one of the following online assessments:

• Project Implicit: Take a Test
• Understanding Prejudice: Exercises and Demonstrations

You may also conduct an Internet search for a different self-assessment survey about prejudice, bias, discrimination, or other related topic.

Complete at least one self-assessment and acquire the results.

Write a 1- to 2-page reflection of the experience in which you include the following:

• Summarize the source and purpose of the self-assessment survey(s).
• Summarize the results. Do you agree? Why or why not?
• Explain how your own worldview or lens affects your perception of other groups. How could increased awareness of your own bias affect your ability to work with offenders, victims, families, and communities from other groups?
• Integrate at least one social psychology theory to support your assertions.

Support your reflection with a minimum of two references. The course textbook may be one resource.

Adhere to APA guidelines.
