In this scenario you have recently been hired by a Public Health department in a rural community. The department has never had an Epidemiologist on staff and they are not entirely sure what epidemiology is. Your new boss has asked you to conduct a training session for the rest of the staff to orient them to the field of epidemiology.

Create a PowerPoint® presentation that provides an overview of Epidemiology.

Requirements

The presentation should be visually appealing, geared toward a professional audience, and should include the following sections:

A cover slide with your name and presentation title (1 slide)
An explanation of what epidemiology is (1 slide)
A short timeline of epidemiology – The timeline should include important people and events in epidemiological history over the last 100 years. (7–10 slides)
An overview of the different types of epidemiology including environmental, social, community, and forensic (4–6 slides)
An explanation/example of how clinical and epidemiological perspectives of a health issue vary (1–2 slides)
Links to a least two additional resources that provide information where people can learn more about epidemiology – Provide the link and a brief description of what the resource is. (1–2 slides)
