Scavenger Hunt
You will go on an art scavenger hunt where you will use the text book, life sources, and the Internet to create a log of your hunt.
The final project will include:
- Seven objects that meet the criteria listed below.
- Brief (200 words) description of EACH object, in your own words
- Image of the work (if it is online, please provide the web address)
- Project introduction, conclusion, and table of contents
- References
- Correct usage of grammar and spelling
- APA or MLA formatting (prescribed by your instructor)
Objects:
- Object 1: Find an object that is from the Prehistoric, Egyptian, or Mesopotamian era that exhibits the use of cut stone.
- Object 2: Find an object that is from either the Greek or Roman era that exhibits the use of the subtractive method of sculpture.
- Object 3: Find an object that is from the Early Christian, Romanesque, or Gothic era that exhibits the use of egg tempera paint.
- Object 4: Find an object that is from the Early Renaissance, Renaissance or Mannerist era that exhibits the use of oil paint on panel.
- Object 5: Find an object that is from either the Baroque or Rococo era that exhibits the use of chiaroscuro.
- Object 6: Find an object that is from the Realist, Neoclassical, Romantic, Impressionist, or Post Impressionist era that exhibits the use of a genre theme.
- Object 7: Find an object that was created in the 20th Century that exhibits the use of mixed media.
