Cover Letter

Write a 1-page cover letter to your Sheriff's Department that you would use to accompany your resume. Click here for an example. Include the following in your letter:

• Your name and a fake address
• A fake name and address for your Sheriff
• The subject of the letter (e.g., “Re: Entry-Level Police Officer”)
• The body of the letter, describing your intent, interest, and skills or experience you have to offer
• A closing
