Role of Interests Groups in shaping European Union Policy
Role of the Pressure groups in shaping European Union Parliament Policy.
One possible area that I am interested to do my research one possible area is to compare and contrast interest groups from different European countries regarding their respective operational styles and influence in the European Parliament-these are: Greece, Germany, Spain and France.
What are some of the major ethical challenges for data collection in this project? For example, some pressure groups may not want certain information about their activities to be disclosed to the general public. What are some challenges for a researcher to obtain and handle some sensitive information.
Explores how the distribution of costs and benefits of legislative proposals influence interest groups’ probability of securing wins in certain conflicts taking place in the European Parliament and it would undermine EU’s ultimate objectives.
Alternatively, make some policy-relevant recommendations for policy-makers for favorable legislation, policies, etc. For example does every EU member have the same level of influence, such as Greece versus Germany? Are there backdoor ways of influencing those in government through unethical or unfair practices.
How would Greece’s and Spain’s economic woes impact the entire EU regions and how might Germany and France address this economic pitfalls without imposing much austerity measures that would affect the lives of ordinary citizens of Greece. Finally, Incorporates many scholarly resources effectively that reflect depth and breadth of research.
