What Makes an Argument?
Refer to the examples of current and enduring public issues in Chapter 1, Box 1.1, pp. 17–19, and select
an issue. The reading is attached below in the file attachment

After you have selected the issue, do the following:
 
Think of two points and counterpoints for the issue you have selected and write each point 
in the form of an argumentative claim.
 
Explain what makes the claim argumentative and whether or not it will be easily supported in a
researched argumentative paper.
