1. From the first website www.internet news.com, I looked up Amazon in the search tab, and I found an article written by Beth Cox in 2001. Amazon had a proforma net loss of $90.4 million or 25 cents a share for their fourth quarter, and about 1300 people lost their jobs. The previous year they had a loss of $184.9 million or 55 cents per share. Their operating efficiency needed to be reexamined in the hope that they better utilize their customer service and distribution. This website gives you updated IT news; I only searched for Amazon to see how far this website goes as far as searching for information on a particular company. The website gives you different sub tabs like security, small businesses, IT management, and many more. If you click any of these tabs it shows you up to date news on different topics under that particular tab you chose.
Bloomberg.com gives you information on global stock markets, and it also gives you worldwide news. Under the tab business week, I found this article about Florida's feud over zika-fighting GMO mosquitoes. Genetically modified mosquitoes anyone? This article spoke about two Oxitec scientists who are preparing for a release of male species mosquitoes in the hope that they will mate the female zika biting mosquitoes and kill them. Their belief is that any female mosquito that mates with a male Oxitec genetically modified mosquito will die, because the male carries a fatal genetic trait called the " kill switch."
As for Amazon, on Bloomberg, I found the article "Amazon wants to get college students addicted to prime." This to me is not addiction, it's more like time saving and convenience, because Amazon is a place where you can shop and purchase anything you need and receive it in short time. College students, I am sure they never have time to waste; well, I definitely do not have time to waste, so Amazon is what helps me get through with the things I need. If you are a person that normally purchase from Amazon on a regular basis then Prime is for you, because it saves you time and money. Yes, the customers benefit from having fast deliveries and convenience, but the company should benefit as well, and they are actually charging college students half of what regular customers pay for Amazon Prime.
Since, I have been searching for Amazon throughout all these websites; I decided to search on MSN money website to find Amazon's stock symbol ( AMZN.) Found on http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/stockdetails/fi-126.1.AMZN.NAS?symbol=AMZN&form=PRFISH

2. I did some research on the website http://investing.money.msn.com/investments/find-symbol and found some interesting things about Apple INC. stock market (AAPL). Its amazing the information you can find on sites like these. As of today the market cap. For Apple is 626.68B, their shares outstanding is 5.39B. , and their volume (avg) is 63.96m (35.53M). Market cap is the total market value of all of a company’s or business outstanding shares. The volume is usually reported as the number of shares that changed hands during the day.
The average volume of a security over a longer period of time, and that is the total amount traded in that period, take that and divide it by the length of the period. This site linked me to another website http://investorplace.com/2016/10/apple-inc-aapl-samsung-galaxy-note-7-lucky/# and I’ve read that those who have stake in Apple’s market got extremely lucky because after the galaxy note 7 caught on fire it disqualified them from competing with any sales. Those who have stake in Apple will see the positive results.
The projected sales for Apple and the IPhone 7 is 60 million units of the device. IPhone 7 supply was down so researchers believe that affected some sales. Apple’s iPhone 7 now makes up for 1% of overall iPhone market share while the iPhone 7 Plus represents 0.2%, according to research firm Localytics. That matches sales for last year’s iPhone 6s, which captured a 1% market share during its first weekend of availability, while the iPhone 6s plus, introduced at the same time, achieved a 0.3% share.
