This takes a great deal of compliance. As a health care leader, how will you ensure compliance for all billing staff? How will this also protect your organization from lawsuites and fraudulant claims?

Hello everyone! I found this very informative website that discusses medical coding as it relates to federal laws and compliance. What are your thoughts on this 'Compliance Checklist

Do you have:

·         A code of conduct?

·         Written policies and procedures?

·         Educational and training programs for staff and physicians?

·         Effective communication mechanisms?

·         Auditing and monitoring systems?
