During the 19th century, Queen Elizabeth is a leader I believe was a leader who marched to her own drum. She never married or had children. Her leadership inspired the artist, scientific thinking and explorations to other parts of the world. I believe Queen Elizabeth can be closely identified as a “Charismatic Leader”(Laureate, 2010), she was able to “connect with” (Laureate, 2010)her “followers” (Laureate, 2010), which lead them to believe in her leadership. She was the queen of England until her death.
The leader I identified for the 16th century is Peter the Great; he was a Russian Tsar during the late 1600’s. He named himself Peter the Great; his goals were to establish “Russia as a great nation” (Biography.com). As a leader he was able to create a stronger Russia by building up the armed forces, reorganized schools. Peter the Great can be identified through the “Path Goal Theory” (Laureate, 2010), as he set goals and provided direction for the country.
