Hello Class my name is Ronnie Taylor. I live in the city of Orange of Orange County which is in Southern California. I currently work for the Department of Education as a Para Educator or some would call it a behavior specialist for special education I am stationed at a high school and have been in the field for over 10 years. I hope to gain more knowledge of education and skills that I can not only apply to my current career but that I can apply for my future career as well.
My future goals are to one day become a director of programs at some community center or after school program. This course aligns with my goals because it will help to enhance my knowledge on the field of education in itself. To be a good program director of any kind related to education it is important to gain all the skills that education courses can provide to help further my career. In my life I had two teachers that where my favorite Mrs. Perkins and Mrs. Prolman they both seemed to care about my future and as a child that could
have went down many unknown paths of life they helped guide me and kept me focused on English and Math and they mentored me by tutoring me when I needed it and guiding me to continue in sports they were pretty much my school time mothers. They always gave great instruction and made the class fun but most importantly they showed you that they cared and were invested in my life. Mrs. Perkins was also my Tennis coach and being a guy taught by a female coach she knew she had to be tough and she was but it helped me become a respectful man. Mrs. Prolman went to every one of my football games. I still have relationships with this two special teachers.

Hi everyone! My name is Emily Mason and I live in Lakewood, CO with my wonderful husband and our two dogs. I currently work at a High School with the Special Needs program as an educational paraprofessional. We currently have about 19 students that are all unique and fun bundles of joy. My personal learning objectives for this course are to learn as much as I can about education and enjoy learning from other's experience. I am really looking forward to begin this journey of learning about education and connecting it with my professional goals.
My professional goal is to become an elementary school teacher. I love all grade levels so I am not picky when it comes to that. This course aligns with that goal by teaching me even more about the field that I currently work in and am going to work in. It is difficult for me to chose one favorite teacher but I have to say that Mrs. Foard (my high school ACC class teacher for English) was one of my favorite teachers. She had such an impact on my life by having us read literature that was different than the usual school reading. It had meaning and insight into the world around us and we were able to have real adult conversations in her classes. She really broadened my definition and meaning of learning and the word around us. I am looking forward to learning from and with you all!

Hello Everybody,
My name is Xiomara Garcia. I live in Los Angeles, CA. I am currently working as a preschool teacher in The Los Angeles Unified School District. My personal learning objectives is to learn the current legislation and trends in education. Although, I have been in the education field for a while, its always good to knowledgeable about the new changes in curriculums and standards.
My future professional goal is to work as an elementary teacher. This course aligns with my goal because I will gain the knowledge that I need in order to keep succeeding. The main reason why I decided to become a teacher was Ms. Murphy' s passion of working with young children. I was influenced by her dedication, honesty. flexibility, creativity and love for children. To me she was the best teacher. Ms. Murphy made a great impact in my life because she made me want to become a teacher. Everyday I would see how she treated students and how patient she was everybody. She made some modifications in the classroom for the students that needed. She would always look for creative ways for students to learn math and literacy concepts. I would also see how the students and parents love her because of her hard work and dedication. One day, I said to myself, "I want to be a teacher like Ms.. Murphy, "and here I am pursuing my dream.
