I want to start with saying I never knew that we was being filtered by so much with the internet and I think that is it truly just an eye opener for me when I am online now. I think it is something to look more closely at when looking up things that I need to find for assignments and just in general as well. The positive things to think about is that if my children are on the internet and face book that there is things that they don’t need to be able to have access to as much and that if they are just looking at things on the internet that it is a good thing that they are not able to see all the things that are being filtered from them. I think the negative side of this is that there are still ways for people to find information out about people no matter how much security is done over the internet at all. I think what really need to be done is just taking time and making sure that me or my children are being safe when on line either for fun or for school work.

For example, if you write that you also found a specific topic interesting, explain what about that topic you found interesting and why. Is it the same aspects of the topic that your classmate found interesting? Were you unaware that events associated with the topic took place? Did the information that you learned change your understanding of those events?

What struck you in particular as you explored the course materials this week?

The thing that struck me in particular as I was exploring the material for class this week was the videos and how helpful they were with popping filter bubbles. I learned how look up things better and not be so worried about what I am looking up and how to keep all the sites that I use the most for me if I need them for anything and helping me popping my personal filter bubbles.

What insights have you had?

I didn’t really have any insights for this week just that I was ready to find out the best possible way to help me with my assignments for class in the next five weeks and after that as well.

What have you been struggling with?

I am not really struggling with anything because I am always looking up things to see if they will help with my research paper or not and if not I go to the next thing I am doing even it is helping my step-son with his homework or spending time with my wife when not doing schoolwork for the week.

What questions have come up for you at this point?

I don’t really have any questions at this point for the class or the instructor.

Do you have any helpful tips that you’ve picked up in this course or in a past course?

The most helpful hint that I can give is always use an outline or even a rough draft of your work to use at all times.

I have no questions at this point about the assignment that can be helped with at all.
